80 car jacking thefts in three years/ Albanian arrested in Italy

A 30-year-old Albanian man was arrested at Italy's Ciampino Airport, accused of committing approximately eighty thefts between 2021 and 2024 in the province of Ravenna.

The investigation began in 2021, when the city experienced an increase in burglaries, particularly in the areas of Fiume Montone Abbandonato, Via Maggiore, Via Ravegnana and Via Poggi, as learned from Italian media.

The robberies always occurred at night, with a specific target: only money and valuables. A consistent modus operandi that immediately led investigators to a single suspect.

The technique is as simple as it is effective. He opened the bars with a car jack, a simple and easily portable tool, frequently found at burglary sites.
