600 euros per person/ The 36-year-old man who was transporting illegal

The police have arrested the 36-year-old with the initials Sh. MB, who was caught transporting 12 illegal immigrants in the direction of Kukës. The investigations showed that the Albanian received 600 euros per person for their transport to Kosovo.

12 immigrants who had illegally entered Albania and intended to cross the border with Kosovo illegally, with the final destination being EU countries.

Police Notification:

The operation was conducted by the Illegal Traffic Investigation Section and the Kruja Police Station.

1 citizen who was caught in the act of transporting 12 immigrants who intended to cross the border with Kosovo illegally, against the payment of 600 euros per person, was arrested.

The 12 immigrants are being processed at large for illegal border crossing.

The vehicle used to transport immigrants and 2 mobile phones were seized.

The specialists of the Section for Illegal Traffic, in cooperation with the Krujë Police Station, following the work to combat illegality, based on the information provided during the operation, about a citizen who would transport illegal immigrants, organized and finalized the operation "Transit 17".

As a result of this operation, citizen Sh. M. (B.), 36 years old, resident in Kukës.

This citizen was caught in the act by the Police services, in Fushë Krujë, transporting with 1 vehicle, from Saranda in the direction of Kukës, against the payment of 600 euros per person, 12 immigrants who had illegally entered Albania and intended to cross but illegally, the border with Kosovo, with the final destination EU countries.

Following the actions, the proceedings for the 12 immigrants, for the criminal offense "Illegal crossing of the state border" began.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
