Ultimatum/White House: Trump decides on steps against Iran

White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt stated that only President Donald Trump is fully aware of the situation and the decisions that will be taken against Iran, as the deadline for opening the Strait of Hormuz approaches.

Her statement came after demands for clarification regarding comments made earlier by Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

The latter warned that the US has tools available that it has not yet used, emphasizing that the president may decide to use them if Iran does not change its stance.

Meanwhile, the White House rejected claims that Vance's statements implied the use of nuclear weapons, stressing that there was no such suggestion.

According to Leavitt, the Iranian regime has until 8:00 PM Eastern Time to reach an agreement with the United States, while the decision on further steps remains in the hands of President Trump./ CNA
