Turkey has increased the monthly minimum wage to over 520 euros (17,002 Turkish lira) for 2024.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the news this Wednesday.
The salary increased by 49% from 349.30 euros (11,402 Turkish lira), Erdogan said in a post on the X social network.
"With the new amount, we are pleased to have once again fulfilled our promise not to suppress our employees against inflation," Turkish Labor and Social Security Minister Vedat Isikhan said at a press conference in the capital Ankara. / CNA
