Three more ships filled with grain will leave Ukraine on August 5 under a United Nations-backed deal to restore exports of grain and agricultural products, the Turkish Defense Ministry said.
The three ships will leave Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea.
"It is planned that three more ships will leave Ukraine tomorrow," Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said, state news agency Anadolu reported.
He said that an empty ship is also expected to leave for Ukraine, as it is currently being inspected in Istanbul.
This team said in a statement that the first ship has successfully sailed and that the agreement is still being respected.
The Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, discussed the implementation of the agreement by phone with the head of the UN, Antonio Guterres, Ankara announced. However, details of this conversation have not yet been published. REL
