Trump: Iran wouldn't have agreed to ceasefire if facilities weren't destroyed

US President Donald Trump reiterated that the US attack on Iran's nuclear facilities "was a devastating attack" which "left them in the lurch".

He said that if their facilities were not destroyed, then the Iranian government "would not have settled" and agreed to a ceasefire.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio steps in to talk about the released intelligence report, saying it was based on an informant "telling you what the intelligence says" and was part of a "game these people are playing."

Rubio adds that the "conversion facility" needed to make nuclear bombs was dismantled and can no longer be seen. He does not specify where this location was.

"Everything below that mountain is in bad shape," he says, adding that Iran is "far behind" in its nuclear program than it was a week ago./ CNA
