Founder of Iran's Revolutionary Guard: An attack on infrastructure would

Mohsen Sazegara, founder of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (Pasdaran) under Khomeini, in the latter's offices in France, who after being imprisoned in 2003 by Ali Khamenei's regime, was transferred to Washington, has developed a communication with TvKlan.al.

Currently, Sazegara is a Board Member of the ITC (Iranian Transitional Council), part of the opposition political exile.

The first question addressed to him is whether, in the current situation, he thinks we are close to a regime change?

Sazegara makes his concern about the fate of the country even more evident.

-Do you think we are close to a regime change and if this were truly close, what form could the new government take?

"More than a regime change looming on the horizon, the real threat facing the country is the collapse of the regime, leading to chaos and even civil war in Iran."

-If in the second phase of this war that Israel has started, it were to destroy the country's economic infrastructure, do you think Iranian public opinion could change its attitude towards Israel?

"I hope that doesn't happen, because an attack on infrastructure, especially the energy sector, would paralyze everything. However, the Iranian people, who are already suffering, will end up despising both sides (Israel and the Islamic Republic) even more."

-Would the opposition outside Iran be able to lead the country in the event of a regime change?

“When war breaks out, it is the military that takes the initiative. As a result, opposition politicians, both at home and abroad, are forced to watch the fate of the battlefield. In reality, power comes from the muzzle of a gun. If the country collapses, the situation will get even worse, and in the chaos that follows, it is ultimately a military dictator capable of restoring security who will take the throne.”
