Serbs gather in Mitrovica/ After boycott, the leader of the Serbian List also votes

Serbian citizens in northern Kosovo gathered in the main square of North Mitrovica to vote together in the elections.

This is the first time they have returned to the ballot boxes since 2022, when the Serbian List, the largest Serb party in Kosovo, withdrew from Kosovo's institutions and called on Serbs to boycott the upcoming electoral processes.

They were joined by the leader of the Serbian List, Zlatan Ellek, who voted after a two-year boycott.

Ellek, whose party is also participating in the elections, voted at the "Sveti Sava" school in North Mitrovica, accompanied by members of his party and other Serb citizens.

Six political entities representing the Serb community are participating in this Sunday's elections: Serbian List, Serbian People's Movement, Serbian Democracy, Party of Kosovo Serbs, For Freedom, Justice and Survival, and Civic Initiative People's Justice./ CNA
