Russia arrests American journalist/ Suspicion of espionage

An American journalist who works for "The Wall Street Journal" has been arrested in Russia on suspicion of espionage, according to the FSB security service.

Evan Gershkovich, an experienced reporter, worked in Yekaterinburg.

The "Wall Street Journal" has expressed concerns about his safety and has strongly denied the accusations against the journalist.

The Kremlin claimed the journalist was caught red-handed while the FSB said it had detained him for illegal activities and that the reporter had acted on US instructions by collecting state secrets.
