Fuel prices are increasing in Kosovo

Fuel prices in Kosovo have been increasing recently.

Currently, diesel costs 1 euro and 34 cents to 1 euro and 44 cents, while gasoline costs 1 euro and 27 cents to 1 euro and 34 cents.

The prices of derivatives in Kosovo have increased these days.

The price for a liter of diesel today on the Kosovo market is 1 euro 34 cents to 1 euro 44 cents, while for a liter of gasoline the price is 1 euro 27 cents to 1 euro 34 cents. Oil prices are higher by about 5 cents per liter.

The President of the Association of Oil Workers of Kosovo, Fadil Berjani, has emphasized that there is a slight increase in fuel prices.

"The prices of derivatives today in the Kosovar market are: Diesel 1.34 cents to 1.44 cents and gasoline 1.27 cents to 1.34 cents".

According to him, the trend of increasing the price of derivatives in international markets is increasing, and as he points out, this also reflects in Kosovo.

Furthermore, Berjani showed the prices in the Kosovo market, stressing that we cannot prejudge what prices we will have in the following days in Kosovo, since there is an increase in the oil market and a reduction in production in the OPEC production organization.

"What prices we will have in the coming days, we cannot do with the prejudice that there is movement in the market and reduction of production in the production organization OPEC", he said.

According to him, Kosovo depends on international markets, and that we import derivatives.

During the day, oil has risen by about one dollar per barrel on concerns that tensions in the Middle East and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia could curb global supply.

Brent crude was up 66 cents - 0.9 percent, or $77.99 - on Monday. Meanwhile, in West Texas, the price per barrel went to 72.78 dollars, with an increase of 50 cents, or 0.7 percent, Reuters reported, KlanKosova.tv reports.

Traders have been closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East, where progress on ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas has remained elusive, indicating that tensions in the oil-producing region will continue. The United States of America has also continued with the village against the Houthis in Yemen, whose attacks on shipping vessels have disrupted the global market./Monitor
