Protest in Tirana for the KLA/ Osmani: I support it, call for true justice

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, reacted today regarding the protest that will be held on Friday in Tirana, for justice against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

In a statement to the media, Osmani expressed support for this protest, which he considered a call for true justice and respect for the highest principles of human rights.

"I support this protest, just as I have supported every protest that has been called for justice. The citizens of Kosovo and beyond have never asked for anything other than justice, true justice, and respect for the highest principles of human rights protection."

Justice that respects the highest principles of human rights protection and, as you know, Kosovo, more specifically the former leaders who are now facing trial in The Hague, have appeared before it precisely because they believed in justice. It has now been 5 years without any change in international justice, but we as Kosovo institutions constantly demand that the great principles of human rights be respected and we fully grant them their rights whenever they protest in search of these standards.

"The KLA war was a just war for freedom, to protect our people and liberate Kosovo from the occupation that lasted for centuries, and a war that included the protection of the doorsteps and innocent citizens who were attacked by the Serbian army," Osmani said. /CNA
