Tre turistë britanikë janë zhdukur pas zjarrit në bordin e një jahti gjatë një lundrimi në Detin e Kuq Egjiptian.

Njëzet e katër persona të tjerë, përfshirë 12 britanikë, u shpëtuan nga anija, e quajtur “Uragani”, e cila ndodhej në brigjet e Marsa Alam, thanë autoritetet.

Ata shtuan se raportet fillestare sugjeruan se zjarri, në orën 06:30 me orën lokale, ishte për shkak të një defekti elektrik.

Jahti ishte nisur nga Port Ghalib më 6 qershor dhe do të kthehej të dielën.

Autoritetet lokale thanë se në bord ishin 15 pasagjerë britanikë së bashku me 10 anëtarë të ekuipazhit dhe dy udhërrëfyes.

Guvernatori i Detit të Kuq tha se ekzaminimet fillestare kishin gjetur një qark të shkurtër elektrik në dhomën e motorit, ndërsa zyra e prokurorisë publike kishte filluar një hetim.

Një zëdhënës tha se, zjarri ndodhi në Elphinstone Reef, një destinacion i njohur për pasurinë e jetës detare, duke përfshirë koralet shumëngjyrëshe dhe peshkaqenë./ CNA.al
