The mayor of the Municipality of Tuzi, Nik Gjeloshaj, at the same time the chairman of the "Albanian Forum" party in Montenegro went to the polling station to vote for the parliamentary elections.

After voting, Gjeloshaj gave a statement to the media stating that the orientation of Albanians in Montenegro will be only Euro-Atlantic, stressing that the latter play a primary role in the country's communication with European institutions.

"Albanians together with other minorities are the biggest shield of that Euro-Atlantic path of Montenegro and I believe that the large participation of Albanians, I wish that Albanians today come out with as many mandates as possible so that they are as much as possible in the parliament and I think that this is good for Montenegro's orientation towards Euro-Atlantic integration", said Gjeloshaj.

Among other things, Gjeloshaj also expressed concern about the small limit of mandates offered by the Montenegrin law for the representation of Albanians in the assembly.

"At most, Albanians can produce up to 3 mandates. This is the electoral law, unfortunately, that limits us as a nation in Montenegro and it is what we will fight politically to change", he said./ CNA.al
