The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, together with the candidate for the municipality of Pristina, Përparim Rama, have appeared at a press conference. 

Abdixhiku thanked the citizens of Kosovo for the democratic electoral process. He announced the victory of the LDK in the municipalities of Istog, Lipjan and Junik. He said that for the first time in 12 years, the LDK is the leading party in both the candidate and municipal assembly elections.  

"We will call it the LDK victory conference. We thank the citizens of Kosovo for a democratic and fair process. We are all winners, all citizens of Kosovo. I want to thank the LDK commissioners. I also want to thank the electoral institutions. LDK confirms that it has won, is leading and is in the race in 12 municipalities. October 12 is for the 12 municipalities of LDK. LDK tonight announces victory in Istog, Lipjan and Junik in the first round. We congratulate the mayors of these municipalities. We congratulate the main winner of the race in these elections, Përparim Rama. In Pristina after 12 years, LDK is the first party both for candidates and for municipal assembly.
