Start of the vote counting process/ Albin Kurti reacts

The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo and at the same time the leader of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, has reacted after the completion of the voting process for the local elections. 

In a post on social media, Kurti said that the citizens of Kosovo demonstrated democratic culture by carrying out the process without incident. He also wrote that now the commissioners and observers who will carry out the vote counting process must uphold the will of the citizens. 

"Today, with calm and prudence, the citizens of Kosovo once again demonstrated democratic culture by spending the day of local elections with dignity and responsibility.

I thank all citizens for their support for the VETËVENDOSJE! Movement and our candidates in the municipalities. This trust is our strength to continue with work and dedication forward.

"But now is the time for commissioners and observers, who not only count the votes, but also safeguard them and the expressed will of the citizens," Kurti said in his post./CNA
