Netanyahu, speech at the UN: We are not yet finished with the war in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered his speech today at the United Nations Assembly in New York.

This statement comes after several days of harsh criticism from dozens of world leaders over Israel's war in Gaza.

"We have not forgotten you, not even for a second. The people of Israel are with you. We will not waver and we will not rest until we bring you all home."

We must remain vigilant. We must remain absolutely clear-headed. We must not allow Iran to rebuild its nuclear military capability. Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium must be eliminated.

I commend President Trump for his bold and decisive action. President Trump and I promised to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, and we kept that promise. Our brave pilots neutralized Iran’s missile defenses and took control of the skies over Tehran. Israeli fighter pilots and American B-2 pilots bombed Iran’s nuclear enrichment sites. This war will go down in the annals of military history.

"Thanks to the determination of our people, the courage of our soldiers, and the bold decisions we made, Israel recovered from its darkest day to deliver one of the most stunning military comebacks in history. But we are not done yet," Netanyahu said.

Many delegates walked out of the hall in protest as Netanyahu took the podium. He also addressed the Israeli hostages taken by Hamas. Netanyahu's speech also included what he said was Israel's contribution to the overthrow of Al-Assad in Syria, as well as the attacks on Lebanon and the 12-day war with Iran, as well as developments in Gaza. /CNA
