Since September 8, Britain has entered into 10 days of mourning on the occasion of the loss of Queen Elizabeth, who passed away at the age of 96.

Since that day, the country is experiencing historic moments as the last honors are being paid to Britain's longest-lived monarch, who reigned for a full 70 years.

Downing Street has announced that next Sunday the nation is being called to gather to honor Queen Elizabeth II, while a minute's silence will be observed across the country.

"At 8pm on Sunday 18 September, before the state funeral, a minute's silence will be held to honor the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II. The silence can be held privately in your home or with friends and neighbors, outside on your doorstep or in the street, or at organized community events and vigils. We encourage citizens, clubs and other organizations to participate in this moment. And if you are abroad, people are encouraged to join," said a representative of the prime minister./ CNA.al
