Sentenced to life imprisonment, the 'Butcher of Bosnia' ends up in hospital

Former Republika Srpska Army commander Ratko Mladic, who was sentenced to life in prison for the Srebrenica genocide and war crimes, was hospitalized after his health deteriorated in The Hague prison in the Netherlands.

Darko Mladic stated that the condition of his father Ratko Mladic, otherwise known as the 'Butcher of Bosnia', is more serious than in the past, Serbian media "N1" writes.

Ratko Mladic has been sentenced to life in prison by the international court for the genocide committed in Srebrenica in 1995, when around 8,000 Bosniaks, mostly Muslims, were killed by his troops.

The ruling coalition in Serbia, led by President Vu?i?'s Progressive Party, denies committing genocide in Srebrenica.

On July 7, the Assembly of Albania voted on the resolution to condemn the Srebrenica massacre with 113 votes in favor and none against./euronews
