Iran's Foreign Ministry: Signing a deal with the US does not reduce mistrust

Iran's Foreign Ministry has criticized the US government for statements regarding the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries to end the war, stressing that such comments increase Iranian distrust and recall past broken commitments.

The statement was made by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai in a post on the 'X' platform.

"The contradictory statements of American officials regarding the memorandum to end the imposed war will not reduce the accumulated distrust towards the Iranians and will only remind them of previous commitments that were violated," Baghai said.  

Noting that Iran engaged in the diplomatic process in good faith, Baghai said Iranians know that hatred for the enemy does not end with the signing of an agreement and will take every step with vigilance, taking into account the experiences of the past five decades, especially the developments of the past year and a half./CNA
