The fire a few days ago in the area of ??Karistos in Evia was caused by a young man, 20 years old.

After he was arrested, he shocked everyone with his confession to the authorities.

"I loved seeing the firemen running to put out the flames."

He further confessed that he had started other fires in this area during the past month.

After all the shocking statement, during an interview in "Star" he said that he regretted the action he had committed, but his testimony brought strong reactions from the Greek public opinion.  

The battle with flames continues in Evros, where the situation has been the most difficult. The fires have caused a major ecological disaster in the forest of Dadia, where the dead bodies of 20 immigrants were found a few days ago.

For days, the Albanian forces have also been part of the action to put out the fires in Greece./ CNA
