The Greek Prime Minister: Greece does not change its position, we do not accept
Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Aleksandër Vucic

The Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, expressed his firm stance towards Kosovo, during a meeting with the Serbian President, Aleksandër Vucic.

From Belgrade, where he is staying on an official visit, where he was received by the Serbian president, the head of the Greek government emphasized that the dialogue, as he calls it, between Pristina and Belgrade, was a topic of discussion.

"President Vucic informed me about the dialogue with Pristina. You know that our position regarding Kosovo remains unchanged, and we believe that European mediation and dialogue are the only way to normalize relations between the two parties. This would significantly help stability in the region, which is the goal for all of us," Mitsotakis emphasized.

Mitsotakis added that "we are following the developments of the last few months with concern". And he added that the integration of the entire Western Balkans into the EU is a strategic goal of the Hellenic Republic.

Greece, together with Spain, Cyprus, Romania, and Slovakia make up the five member states of the European Union that do not recognize Kosovo's independence./ CNA
