Iranians have started new protests against the Government in dozens of neighborhoods in the Iranian capital, Tehran, as a continuation of the protests that have been going on for months in this country, after the death of a 22-year-old Mahsa Amini.

She died in September of last year while she was in police custody, on the grounds that she did not put the veil on her head properly.

Protesters in Tehran's Jannat Abad neighborhood have expressed their displeasure at the government's interference in freedom of expression, and have been heard shouting "Freedom, freedom!" and "Death to the dictator," a reference to the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In the Ekbatan neighborhood of Tehran, which has been the epicenter of protests that have been held for several months now, protesters have been heard shouting anti-government slogans and have set up roadblocks at the entrance to the neighborhood, as well as continuing to arrest participants.

In some videos published on social networks, some people were seen burning propaganda banners of the Government in the Iranian city of Jasuj.

Iranian officials have blamed the West for organizing the protests since Amin's assassination.

According to human rights groups, as a result of government repression, more than 500 people, including 71 children, have died in the protests.

These protests are considered the biggest threat to the Islamic Government since the Revolution of 1979./ REL
