Tributes to Queen Elizabeth/Turkey will transport 13 tons of flowers

13 tons of flowers will be transported by Turkish Airlines, which will be used in tribute to the late queen, Elizabeth II.

"The planes will carry over 500,000 bouquets ordered by British florists and the last shipment is expected to arrive on Friday," a company spokesman announced today.

"Initially, the UK requested 18 tons of flowers, but Turkish producers were only able to provide 13 tons of flowers due to high demand elsewhere, and seasonal influences," the Turkish Airlines official added.

According to the data, manufacturers in the Mediterranean cities of Antalya and Isparta have experienced a record 90% increase in demand following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8. /CNA.al
