The former president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, went to Kosovo today.

He left his cell for a few hours in The Hague and traveled to Kosovo for family reasons.

Specifically, it is reported that the health condition of the former President's mother is not good.

Local media have published some images from the village of Buroje, where Thaçi's parents live. Numerous security forces were seen near it.

Hashim Thaçi has been allowed to meet his parents and other family members, while digital communication has been blocked, as the internet and telephone networks have been cut off.

We remind you that Thaçi has been in custody in The Hague since November 2020, as he is accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity, together with the former head of the PDK, Kadri Veselin, the former member of the General Staff of the KLA , Rexhep Selim and the former spokesman of the KLA, Jakup Krasniqi./ CNA.al
