 "Ecuador has turned into the third largest exporter of drugs in the world," write the Spanish media, while also focusing on the criminal activity of Albanian gangs.

According to them, Ecuador is distinguished by the dominance of three gangs with international activity that collaborate with local groups, adding that they have extended their tentacles from Ecuador to Western countries.

The first is the Sinaloa Cartel installed in Ecuador since 2009 and closely allied with Los Choneros.
