The British government is facing a deep political crisis, as Health Minister Zubir Ahmed has resigned from his post, becoming the latest senior official to leave the cabinet.

In his resignation letter, published on the social network X, Ahmed has articulated strong criticism of the prime minister, stressing that the public's trust has been irreversibly damaged. "It is clear from the last few days that the public across the United Kingdom has now irreversibly lost confidence in you as prime minister," he writes.

Ahmed's resignation comes at a sensitive moment for the government, which has already been rocked by the successive departures of several other ministers. Earlier, the following also resigned from office:

Alex Davies-Jones, Minister for Community Safety and Crime Prevention
