Trump: Cuba is asking for help, we will talk

US President Donald Trump stated this Tuesday that Cuba was asking for help and they would talk, without giving further details.

"No Republican has ever talked to me about Cuba, which is a failed country and is only going in one direction - down! Cuba is asking for help and we will talk!!! In the meantime, I am going to China!" Trump wrote in a post on the 'Social Truth' platform.

Trump had threatened that Cuba was "next" after the US military captured Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and has since imposed new financial sanctions and expanded others.

His administration has also imposed a fuel blockade, restricted travel and remittances from the US to Cuba, and tried to discourage regional allies from hiring Cuban doctors./CNA
