Underwater noises are heard during the search for the missing submarine

A Canadian military surveillance plane has recorded underwater noises during the massive search in a remote part of the Atlantic Ocean for a submarine that disappeared while ferrying five people to the wreckage of the Titanic.

But the US Coast Guard's statement did not specify what the noises could have been.

However, this statement offers a glimmer of hope for the people on board the missing submarine, as they are estimated to have only about a day's worth of oxygen left if the submarine is still operational.

Meanwhile, it remains unclear how teams can reach the missing submarine, which could be up to 12,500 meters below the water's surface.

Missing on board the ship are pilot Stockton Rush, the executive director of the company running the expedition. Among its passengers are a British adventurer, two members of a Pakistani business family and a Titanic expert.

The Coast Guard tweeted that a Canadian aircraft had "detected underwater noises in the search area". The searchers then sent an underwater robot to the area to search. However, these searches "gave negative results, but they are continuing".

"Data from the P-3 aircraft has been shared with US Navy experts for further analysis, which will be considered in future research plans," the Coast Guard said.

The submarine lost contact with operators on Sunday while it was in the southern area of ??Newfoundland in Canada.

OceanGate, the company that makes this trip possible, charges passengers $250,000 to see the wreckage of the famous ship up close.

Participants travel about 595 kilometers on a large ship, above the Titanic, and then embark on an eight-hour dive with the Titan submarine, to reach the depths./ Rel
