Two people in Kosovo have been arrested for the rape of a 23-year-old Albanian woman with mental problems.

The 23-year-old woman was reported missing a few days ago in our country and was found in the municipality of Peja, in Kosovo.

According to the announcement of the Kosovo Police, after she was found, the 23-year-old woman was sent to the Emergency for a medical examination, under the suspicion that she had been raped.

After the examination at the Forensic Institute, the Prosecutor's Office of Peja, it turned out that she was sexually assaulted. The event took place in the municipality of Peja.

"After an intensive operational work by the Kosovo Police, with the authorizations of the State Prosecutor, two people were arrested today. The same were detained by order of the State Prosecutor for the criminal offense "Rape", the announcement states.

Also, the Prosecutor has ordered to seize the vehicle with which a criminal offense is suspected to have been committed.

According to unofficial information, one of the arrested is suspected to be the father of a former deputy of the Assembly of Kosovo.
