Ceasefire between Iran and Israel/ Rutte praises Trump: You are a man of strength

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has expressed appreciation for US President Donald Trump's role in the ceasefire between Iran and Israel.

"I just want to appreciate your decisive action towards Iran. You are a man of strength, but also a man of peace. I also want to congratulate you on the fact that you succeeded in achieving a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, which is important for the whole world," Rutte declared.

Regarding the increase in defense investments, Rutte said that it is a decision rooted in the core mission and is necessary to finance defense plans and preparation.

 "For too long, the United States has carried the main burden within the Alliance, but that ends today. We have a concrete plan that all allies will devote 5% of their GDP to defense. This decision is deeply rooted in our core mission and is necessary to finance our defense plans and preparedness. And it will ensure that everyone contributes equally to our security," Rutte said.
