The 2024 budget is revised for the second time, revenues increased by ALL 27 billion

In a statement after the government meeting, Finance Minister Petrit Malaj announced that the Council of Ministers has reviewed the state budget for the second time, increasing the revenue expectations by ALL 27 billion.

"As a result of the positive performance of the economy, we revised the 2024 budget, increasing the income for this year to the value of 27 billion ALL. These additions are intended to be distributed in sectors that have a high impact on social life and those that contribute to economic development. We have increased additional funding for the Ministry of Agriculture by 500 million lek for the farmers' grant scheme. We have increased ALL 200 million for the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of the Interior with ALL 1.3 billion for food compensation for police officers, in addition to additional working hours. For the Ministry of Education, 300 million lek for rewarding athletes who have achieved good results. We have also increased funding for Water and Sewerage by 2 billion lek", said Malaj", said Malaj./ CNA
