Public investments stall, €50 million less than in 2021

Government projects in public investment have had a slow pace this year.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Finance, for the first half of the year, capital expenditures were realized 94 million euros less than the plan approved in the budget and 50 million euros less than a year ago.

The projects with the weakest progress are those in the road infrastructure, which are managed by the Albanian Road Authority.

Fondi në buxhet për investimet në rrugë për këtë institucion është 250 milionë euro. Deri në fund të qershorit, Autoriteti Rrugor ka dhënë vetëm 35 milionë euro për projektet, sa 15% e totalit të buxhetit të vënë në dispozicion për gjithë vitin.

Projekti që ka pasur ecurinë më të mirë në infrastrukturës është ndërtimi i Tunelit të Llogarasë. Kjo vepër menaxhohet nga aparati i Ministrisë së Infrastrukturës. Shpenzimet në buxhet për gjysmën e parë të vitit për këtë vepër janë 15 milionë euro dhe zënë 40% të planit vjetor.

The apparatus of the Ministry of Infrastructure has given 3.8 million euros for the concession contract of the Arbri road, out of 25 million euros that is foreseen for this year, while the concession project for the construction of the Dukat-Orikum road received the lowest funding. For this work, 650,000 euros were spent out of the 2.6 million euros anticipated.

Even the projects managed by the Albanian Development Fund have not had a good progress. The fund has at its disposal a budget of 155 million euros, of which only 50 million euros have been disbursed.

Only the progress of the reconstruction funds was in accordance with the plan, which for the first time this year resulted in only 20,000 euros not being realized./euronews
