During the second quarter of 2022, available electricity decreased by 3.5%. The net domestic production of electricity in this period decreased by 38.1% reaching the value of 1,647 GWh from 2,660 GWh of energy produced in the second quarter of 2021.

According to Instat, this production was realized by public hydropower plants to the extent of 38.3%, by private and concessional hydropower plants to the extent of 60.9% and by other producers (Photovoltaics) to the extent of 0.8% of the net domestic electricity production.

Hidrocentralet publike, në tremujorin e dytë të vitit 2022, prodhuan 631 Gwh nga 1.557 GWh të prodhuar në tremujorin e dytë të vitit 2021, duke shënuar kështu një rënie të prodhimit me 59,5 %. Hidrocentralet private dhe koncensionare, prodhuan 1.002 GWh nga 1.090 GWh të prodhuar në të njëjtën periudhë të një viti më parë, duke shënuar një rënie të prodhimit të energjisë elektrike me 8,0 %. Shkëmbimi i energjisë elektrike (diferenca mes eksportit dhe importit bruto të energjisë), në tremujorin e dytë të vitit 2022 ka arritur vlerën negative prej 249 GWh krahasuar me tremujorin e dytë të vitit 2021 ku kishte nje vlerë pozitive prej 696 GWh.

Humbjet në rrjet arritën vlerën 363 GWh nga 400 GWh duke shënuar kështu një rënie me 9,5 %.
