Governor Sejko received today the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Albania, H.E. Gabriel Cremades Ventura.

The Governor presented the country's economic panorama to the Ambassador, stating that the Albanian economy and the main indicators of its economic, monetary and financial stability are on a positive development trend.

His Excellency, Ambassador Cremades congratulated the Bank of Albania for the work carried out in maintaining the country's macroeconomic stability, guaranteeing financial stability and strengthening the sustainability of the economy. He also highlighted the progress made by the Albanian economy during this period as a valuable achievement of the country on its path to membership in the European Union.

The Ambassador particularly praised the policies pursued by the Bank of Albania towards its main objective, maintaining price stability. He emphasized that through its monetary policy, the bank has created appropriate conditions for the stable and timely return of inflation to target, while ensuring a healthy financial environment and ample credit.

Subsequently, the interlocutors shared the same opinion regarding the progress made in the field of tourism and the potential of its development as a promoter of the country's economic development. In this regard, the banking sector has also made its contribution through increased attention and financing of tourism.

Ambassador Cremades stressed Spain's support for Albania in all areas of cooperation, especially in the process of its integration into the European Union. He expressed Spain's full support towards the accession process./CNA
