ADF announces the winner for the architecture and construction business

The Albanian Development Fund announced this Monday the winner for the contract with the object "Business incubator in architecture and construction in Tirana: Furnishing".

The limit fund for this division alone was 130 thousand euros, while the winning bid resulted in 89 thousand euros given by the Ro-Al company.

According to the documents, the goal of this business incubator is to create a modern and multifunctional center that focuses on research, development and experimentation of new products and services in the fields of construction, technology and design.

"This center will act as an incubator that addresses real community problems and tests solutions in authentic settings, enabling researchers and professionals to better understand the challenges and develop appropriate solutions," the document states.

According to the ADF, the main objectives of the intervention are several, starting with the rehabilitation of the former ISTN building and the surrounding area, transforming it into a functional space for innovation in construction and design.

Secondly, the creation of a research and design center that promotes cooperation between different actors in areas such as urban development, technology and social aspects.

Third, the development of testing and prototyping spaces, where new ideas and solutions to concrete problems will be experimented with, with the aim of generating new principles for construction technologies.

Fourth, training the new generations, equipping them with contemporary knowledge in design, construction and technology through advanced learning methods. The approach required is comprehensive and sustainable, using spatial, human, technological and academic assets to empower the professional community in the face of the challenges of the time.

The environment is expected to have several spaces, with the entrance and reception on the ground floor. It is also planned to have a design studio, a VR and event hall, the FAB Lab technology and construction laboratory, and most recently a warehouse./ Monitor.al
