An analysis of the periodic survey by the Bank of Albania notes that the economic sentiment indicator in the country remains above the long-term average.

According to the report, the economic sentiment indicator (ESI) contracted by 2.6 points in November.

Despite the slight decrease, the current level of the TNE remains about 6 percentage points above the long-term average.

The analysis highlights that the decline in TNE was influenced by decreased business confidence, while consumer confidence improved.

The industry confidence indicator remained unchanged compared to the previous month's level.

TNE by sectors

Regarding the values ??by sector, it is noted that: 

TBSH- The services confidence indicator decreased by 5.7 percentage points this month. Despite this decline, the TBSH level remains about 9 percentage points above the historical average. The decline in confidence was influenced by less positive assessments by businesses about the level of demand and the current performance of their business. 

TBT- The trade confidence indicator fell by 2.3 percentage points in November, however its level remains around 9 percentage points above the historical average. The decline was mainly influenced by decreasing estimates for the level of employment in the future.

TBK- The consumer confidence indicator increased by 0.8 percentage points in November. Its level remains 1.3 percentage points above the historical average. The increase was mainly influenced by more optimistic expectations for personal financial situation, as well as the economic situation in the future. /CNA
