Journalist Poli Hoxha says that Prime Minister Edi Rama is interested in the fate of the much-wanted Ervis Martinaj.

In an interview for "Euronews Albania", Hoxha said that the head of the government has previously used this issue for campaigning.

According to him, Martinaj's case has political but also economic connections as he is one of the main illegal betting businessmen.

"Mr. Rama is very interested in this issue because he used it before the campaign, he said that the betting director moves, we know the license plates. We also have these movements in the betting industry, they will indeed be legalized, but it was with the same intensity.

Ervis Martinaj has been one of the leaders in the illegal betting market that continues even now.

The people to whom they hand over the money in this still illegal market say it is the money for Ervis.
