Disappearance of 34-year-old and murder in Paskuqan/ Tirana Police provide

Tirana Police Director, Oliger Torba, has taken stock of the work for the month of May and the first two weeks of June, focusing extensively on some of the most serious criminal events that have shaken the capital.

During the press conference, the main focus was the murder that occurred a few days ago in Paskuqan and the mysterious disappearance of 34-year-old Eglant Koçi.

Regarding the murder of the 27-year-old in Paskuqan, where the suspected perpetrator Sadik Llanaj is still at large, Director Torba announced that the police have undertaken a large-scale operation to capture him.

"Regarding the suspected perpetrator of the murder, Sadik Llanaj, I take this opportunity to thank the citizens because we have had close cooperation. For this reason, a group has been set up, taking into account his dangerousness, over 20 house searches have been carried out. Currently, work continues to capture him, due to the importance of the operations, RENEA forces continue to be engaged and we believe that this person will be captured very soon. We have had very valuable information from the citizens," he said.

Regarding the disappearance of Eglant Koçi, an event that the police consider sensitive, the head of the Tirana Police explained that a special investigative group has been set up and is being followed by the Serious Crimes Structure. According to Torba, the investigations are based on clues received from family members and the search for the 34-year-old's body is mainly focused on the outskirts of Tirana. In this process, the police have also been assisted by the KSF, however, so far there has been no concrete result.

"As for the disappearance of Eglant Koç, a rather sensitive event, a special investigative group has been set up on our part. The evidence was obtained from the family members of the suspect, the missing person. The investigation is being followed by the Serious Crimes Structure. There is a special structure that is searching for his body, the searches are mainly focused on the outskirts of Tirana, between the dividing border of Elbasan. In addition to our forces, the KSF has also come to our aid. The search continues, so far we have no concrete result. Many areas that we had our suspicions about have been searched, we have no result," said the police.

In addition to these two cases, the Tirana Directorate has documented five other serious criminal events within a short period of time, including the injury of a police officer and the armed robbery of a jewelry store in Kamëz.
