The General Directorate of Prisons has shared a reaction regarding the video published in the media and social networks regarding a luxury cell in Peqin prison.
Based on the notification, after verifications carried out, it results that from April 30, 2026 onwards, no such environment existed and does not exist in the Peqin Penitentiary Institution.
The reaction comes after the material featured footage from what journalist Artan Hoxha described as the cell of a well-known underworld figure.
