35th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Party / Berisha warns Rama:

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has harshly criticized Prime Minister Edi Rama for organizing the 35th anniversary event of the Socialist Party of Albania today in Tirana.

Berisha warned Rama to give up on anti-mafia rallies, implying that it is an organization in response to the protest.

"But I am here today to denounce with the greatest force the irresponsible, cynical, hostile attitude of Edi Rama and his circle towards the protest, the demands of the protesters, and I warn that with this attitude, he seeks to plunge the country into chaos.

His attempt to smother the powerful hurricane with anachronistic anti-rallies, supposedly celebrating the 85th anniversary of the crime party, is inexcusable and unacceptable.

It is cynical, humiliating and insulting for every Albanian to oppose the protest of Albanian youth and citizens with the meeting of the SP's criminal scum, meetings that resemble from alpha to omega the meetings of the mafia.

Edi Rama must urgently give up on anti-rallies. Give up on anti-rallies, stop challenging the powerful, peaceful hurricane of student youth with anti-rallies of mafias, bandits, and delinquents gathered by force.

I call on the socialists to abandon the anti-Edi Rama rallies wherever they are and not to forget that they have nothing in common with the ideals of the SP. That that party has ended, does not exist, has turned into its own Revival, which is the so-called Renaissance, which buried the SP. Therefore, once again, I condemn it with the greatest force.

"I call on international public opinion, both political and public, to strongly support this protest, which has defined as its mission the salvation of Albania from the autocratic dictatorship or narco-regime of Edi Rama," said Berisha.

Regarding the protest, Berisha called on the Democrats to join the protest, expressing the support of the DP.

"I am here to express once again the strongest support of the DP for the magnificent protest of the youth and citizens of Tirana and all of Albania. A protest, which has turned into a powerful hurricane against the regime of Edi Rama, based on the electoral farce, crime, drugs and theft of Albanians.

Tirana has never known a protest as powerful, massive, and persistent as this in its history. Hence my call for every democrat, supporter of the Democratic Party, to join the protest of the youth and citizens of Tirana, a protest that transcends the boundaries of political forces.

But, which resolutely demands the end of Edi Rama's autocratic regime. It demands the annulment of a series of laws that DP deputies in the Albanian parliament have voted against in committees and plenary sessions. They have also opposed these unconstitutional laws and laws that contradict EU directives in the Constitutional Court.

"So, every democrat, every supporter of the Democratic Party, but also every citizen of Tirana and all of Albania, has the strongest motives to support this protest, which has taken on unprecedented proportions in the world, in addition to the size of a hurricane in the streets and squares of Tirana. It has become news and super news of all the agencies, televisions, and the largest media in the world," said Berisha./ CNA
