The deputy commissioner of the CEC, Lealba Pelinku, announced at today's meeting of the Regulatory Commission that the voter lists in Himare have been increased by 311 people from 2023 to 2024.

Meanwhile, the members elected by the opposition to the commission have raised concerns about the addition of voters to the list of voters, referring to the data of the General Directorate of Civil Status.

Pelinku called the change in values ??abnormal, and added that he will send a request for information to the Civil Registry to explain this increase in the number.

What stands out, which is also a finding of the audit, if we compare the change in the number of voters, 2021 - 2023, it turns out that there is a decrease in absolute value of 8 voters, while from April 4, 2023, the final list for the May 14 elections, and July 10, 2024, for the elections in process, it turns out that there is an increase of 252 in absolute value, but what stands out is the number of 311 voters whose residence has been changed.

So from the other municipalities, the final list of April 4, 2023 was registered in the Himarë Municipality. The total number of voters in the 2023 elections was 22,822 voters.
