Prime Minister Edi Rama started today with the good news that, starting from October 1, Internet Roaming prices between Europe and the Western Balkans have been reduced by an average of 99%.

"GOOD MORNING and with the good news that from October 1, the prices of "Internet Roaming" between Europe and the Western Balkans have been reduced by an average of 99%, materialized after the signing of the agreement at the historic December summit in Tirana, I wish you a good day ", writes Rama.

The EU-Western Balkans Roaming Declaration was signed at the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Tirana on December 6, 2022 and officially entered into force on October 1, thus marking the date of a major change.

After almost a year of intense joint work by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and the European Commission, as well as with the political support of the EU and BP, the telecommunications operators of the Western Balkans and the European Union have not only met the requirements of the statement, but in many cases have exceeded expectations.

Starting from this October, the price limit for 1 GB of data roaming within special offers and packages, in accordance with the Roaming Declaration, should not exceed 18 euros, thus making travel and communication between the EU- and BP significantly more economical. In many cases, the price limit of 18 euros within special offers and packages goes much lower, up to 1.6 euros per 1 GB, while three operators of the Western Balkans, in addition to the prices of reduced and regular packages, will operate and with the prices according to the "pay as you go" mode (which means that you don't have to buy any extra packages while traveling, especially for short trips)./ CNA
