Foreign Minister Igli Hasani

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, in his speech to the Assembly, said that the attack in the north of Kosovo is a serious act, but according to him, our country will work to ensure a prosperous future for its citizens.

Hasani said that the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue is the only way to peace.

"The attack in the north of Kosovo is a serious act. The killing of a Kosovo policeman in the line of duty makes this event even more tragic. Our support and solidarity goes to the people of Kosovo. We will make efforts to build a prosperous future for all citizens. The authors of this incident should be brought to justice as soon as possible. The Kosovo Police has the full right to guarantee order and security. It is positive that the Serbian army withdrew from the border with Kosovo, but it is negative that that army is used for such shows. Kosovo-Serbia dialogue is the only way to peace. Our position remains unchanged. We have stated that the format of the dialogue should be raised to the format of a conference. The Association of Serbian Municipalities is eager to reach an agreement. Recent events show that Kosovo must persistently seek dialogue. Albania has always stood with Kosovo and will stand even in these difficult times."

However, DP deputy Gazment Bardhi asked for a clear position on the situation.

According to Bardhi, Hasani read the prime minister's statuses in these 72 hours without taking a stand.

"I hoped that the Foreign Minister would condemn the attack organized by the Republic of Serbia on Kosovo's security institutions. It is an attack supported by Serbia on the institutions of Kosovo. The Assembly must condemn the attack organized by Serbia as well as the measures that Albania will take. The minister read the statuses of the prime minister in these 72 hours without taking a stand."/ CNA
