On Tuesday, the Court of Korça has imprisoned Durim Toska, the former director of Fushë-Kruja Prison, who three days ago was arrested red-handed in Pogradec for violence against his wife and possession of weapons without a permit.

In the session to determine the security measure, the prosecution asked for the 53-year-old to be detained in prison until the end of the investigation, a request that was accepted by the court.

Toska's two defense lawyers requested a lighter security measure with the argument that the 53-year-old had not raped his wife, but had had a normal family argument.

It is learned that the wife has also withdrawn the accusation of domestic violence.

As for the weapon found by the police during the search of the apartment, Toska has denied knowing about its existence. Durim Toska was arrested three days ago by the Pogradec police, after his wife denounced him for domestic violence. During the search of the apartment, the police also found a Czech model pistol that he was carrying without a permit.
