Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha says that the entire attitude of the current government towards the agricultural sector constitutes a real pyramid of frauds and forgeries and in the end it is reduced to a figure of tens of millions of euros, which mostly ends up in the pockets of thieving governors.

In a meeting held with experts for the 2024 budget, he said that the field of agriculture is also the field of the most unimaginable abuses of Albanian taxpayers' money.

To read the budget for agriculture and rural Albania, today it is a mockery, mockery, cynicism towards life, work, of more than 40% of Albanians. This sector, which has wonderful, dedicated, skilled specialists who know it well, has put a person in charge, who speaks as if he comes from Mars. He speaks as if he has nothing to do with that sector or with this country, announces numbers and percentages that shame anyone and in fact covers a big fraud, towards this extremely important sector. If there is a sector that this government has declared an enemy for years, it is the agricultural sector and rural Albania," said Berisha.
