Sokol Ngresi was elected this Monday as the president of the High Council of Justice with the lot cast in the Presidency.

Ngresi, since June 2, 2022, is a judge in the High Court. Earlier, he was also a judge in the First Instance and in the Appeal of Vlora.

The judge, who has already been elected at the head of the KED, has been denounced for 3 scandals.

The first scandal has to do with a fictitious signature given by judge Sokol Ngresi, in a court decision on behalf of another judge who was not in Albania, in the civil case with decision no. 683, dated 23.12.2005.

He blamed the court secretary, who turned out to be a maintenance worker by name.

In a report of the Ministry of Justice, where the dismissal of Ngresi was requested, it was said that the two judges Gjinovefa Gaba and Sokol Ngresi, have fictitiously signed for the presence of the relator judge.

The second scandal concerns the court decision taken by Ngresi when he was a judge of Appeal. He released the businessman Arben Gropa, alias Vangjel Zijaj, who took the opportunity to escape.

The purpose of this arrest was to extradite him to Italy, meanwhile, after a few days, the Vlora Court of Appeal, through Sokol Ngresi, decided to release Arben Gropa. During this time, against Gropa, a judicial process was taking place in Fier, for the approval or not of the request of the Italian authorities for the extradition of Gropa.

CNA reported at the time that the inspection ended with disciplinary proceedings against the judge.

The third scandal has to do with 50,000 euros, for which Ngresi sent the nanny to prison with the claim that she stole from him.

CNA learned that Ngresi, in addition to accusing the housekeeper, is suspected of blackmailing her.

The scandal was strengthened more since it was not known the source of the 50 thousand euros that the judge kept at home and why he had not declared it in the banking institutions.

There are now four scandals related to the name of judge Sokol Ngresi with the hidden apartment.

The fourth scandal concerns the purchase of an apartment by judge Ngresi.

CNA exclusively secured the contract in July 2021 along with warrants evidencing payment for its acquisition.

In 2014, Ngresi bought an apartment with an area of ??113.43 m2 in the city of Vlora from the company "AFA Konstruksion" sh.pk, for 68 thousand euros.

The collection mandates bear the signature of the judge himself, with an original signature, but despite this, they have not been declared at any time by him.
