Journalist Artan Hoxha, invited to MCN TV, has explained to the Albanian public an article in the Greek media Efsyn, which talked about assassinations of Vangjel Tavos, Anastas Angjeli, the MAVI organization and connections with Fredi Beleri.

"With Beler, they dealt with the history of involvement in the MAVI organization. The author adhered to a book by a very famous journalist in Greece. In the book he made, he dealt with the explanation of the MAVI organization. During the explanation, he found a character, a member of MAVI and documented what happened.

It is about an event on January 13, 2001 in the Peristeri neighborhood where Mr. Vangjel Tavo, together with his brother, Grigor Tavo and Minister Angjeli, were at a ceremony with minorities, for the opening of a newspaper for the minority. The members of MAVI wanted to harm them, but when they saw that there were women and children, they canceled it. They called him a traitor and Tavo was mooning in favor of the Socialist Party and had to be eliminated. Both Mr. Angjeli and Mr. Tavo were saved by the participants. At the end of the ceremony, a grenade was thrown, and Atdheu newspaper was called by MAVI. They intended to convey a message.

This story, not itself, was not investigated but closed.

There was another attempt to kill Tavo. The second time, two members of MAVI were removed as journalists and went to Tavo's apartment. The plan was to eliminate them physically, but an important person took them on the phone and it didn't happen. The Greek journalist has witnessed the history of MAVI, their connections, why it returned to the scene today and who brought it back, they connect it with Beleri.

There it is claimed that the Greek authorities have created an institution that dealt with the recruitment of homogenous people who wanted to fight for Vorio Epirus. He says 200 people took us, took us to Cyprus in a commando unit and trained for 6 months. This is what Beleri, who has been in Cyprus, says. After being trained, 50 were selected. This group was trained for guerrilla warfare, explosives deployment and paratrooper deployment. This group was put into action and asked to return to Albania and be ready, in case of a situation that would lead to conflict.

In both cases it was attempted at Tavo and this is the irony, because even now Tavo won the municipality. The facts that appear there, it is not that we have not heard them, but listed in this form, it is a strong accusation. And these should be investigated in Albania.

Thank goodness the Greek media is remembering that we don't deal with this at all. Beleri is no longer in our magnifying glass, which was small, but he is in the magnifying glass of the materials that are coming out in Greece, including his intervention in judicial processes in Albania, constitute material for investigation.

Beleri has started and has submitted appeals to the Supreme Court, he has his own battle to be acquitted. All these elements that appear in the Greek media, Albania has those events without perpetrators. We have martyrs of the homeland without perpetrators", said Hoxha./ CNA
