Aesthetic changes are a growing trend everywhere in the world, where Albania is no exception.

The desire of girls and women to change their appearance, or to cover the fine lines that appear over the years or with the neglect of the skin, often costs them a lot.

We have heard endless cases of health deteriorations that even lead to loss of life from aesthetic interventions.

But let's stop at the interventions that are used the most by a large part of girls and women in Albania, which is botox.

Botox injections are designed to relax facial muscles in order to smooth out wrinkles.

Fillers fill in lines on the face or add volume to certain parts, such as the lips or cheeks.

Most dermal fillers contain a natural substance called hyaluronic acid and last between six and 18 months.

According to media reports, botox begins with efforts "to fight aging" to the desire to be in step with the "VIPAT" of social networks.

But not being careful and not performing the procedures correctly and in the right places can have serious consequences for your health and even endanger your life.

This concern has also been raised by doctors who are worried about the fact that botox is injected and by those so-called beauticians, but who are simply hairdressers and do not have the necessary knowledge to carry out such interventions.

Professionals express concern, because such interventions, according to them, should only be done by competent people such as: maxillofacial surgery doctors, plastic surgery doctors, dermatologists or ophthalmologists.

Doctors say that in recent years, the number of cases of health complications has increased as a "result of the application of various products for aesthetic issues on the face".

Allergy, deformation of the site where Botox was applied, paralysis, inability to open the eye and hematomas are just some of the reactions that appear.

These happen because people who deal with "hair treatment" or even others who have no knowledge of the possible complications that can cause botox or filler, or the way of injecting them, do aesthetic interventions on the face.

There are "various products" on the market that are used for botox, which are not known to be approved by drug regulators.

In the social networks of aesthetic centers and private educational institutions, facial intervention trainings are constantly advertised.

But also a concern is the lack of regulation for such centers that perform interventions without having the right information and tools.

After raising this concern from professionals, CNA has created a survey asking citizens "How do you rate the aesthetic changes in the face?"

Citizens have the opportunity to express their opinion by choosing one of the alternatives: "Positive, Bad or I don't know."

You can choose one of the options in the survey below./ CNA
