Intelligent transport systems/ Veliaj: People will know how far the city is

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has presented the new plans in the field of infrastructure and transport for 2023 at the Municipal Council meeting.

He said that a new investment that will happen in Tirana will be intelligent transport systems.

According to him, with this intelligent system, people who are waiting for the train at the respective stations will have the opportunity to know which train is coming and how many minutes away it is.

"We have a budget 7 times larger, without citizens' taxes. We will invest in the road infrastructure, in the villages on the outskirts and the alleys of the neighborhoods. 2 billion ALL have been allocated for this project. Part of the project includes intelligent transportation systems. We will install smart stations. At each station those waiting will know which urban is coming and how far it is. We will continue to subsidize students for halving the dormitory fee and for free subscriptions", he declared./  CNA.al
