The publication of Cens data is delayed by a few days. At today's meeting of the Laws Commission, the director of INSTAT, Elsa Dhuli, stated that the population and housing data will be published on June 28.

It was originally predicted that the data would be published on June 19, 2024.

"INSTAT will make public the main results of the Census of population and housing in June 2024, and detailed data will be made public in October 2024," said Elsa Dhuli.

Regarding this statement, the opposition MP, Edmond Spaho, asked Dhuli why the data has not been published yet, since the process was "online".

Spaho claimed that the number of Albanians is below 1.7 million inhabitants, raising the question of whether this is one of the reasons why the publication of the data was postponed. /CNA
